“I was almost lifeless; Saadhana has uplifted me from the miserable condition and made my life livable” says Thahera begum. Earlier, she was a house wife. Her husband is a Tailor and her elder son is working in a Welding shop. She says “I heard about Saadhana from neighbors, understood loan policy and feasibility in repayment”. Thahera begum has been client for the past 4 years, invested loan amount in business only. With the 1st loan amount of Rs.6000/- she started a petty shop on rent by selling detergent (kaala sabun). She used 2nd & 3rd loan amount to expand her business. She used 4th loan amount of Rs.15, 000/- to buy bottle cooling machine to sell cool water packets. In that petty shop she made available of some formats like Pension, residence proof etc. and charging nominal rate to fill them for illiterate customers on request. During festival season she sells greeting cards and colorful kites. On the sale of these items her minimum profit per month is Rs.5000/-.
Thahera says “after attending group meetings regularly I grew more confident giving first priority to the business development, then children education”. She encouraged her children to continue their main stream of education. Smiling she comments “Everything in my life is going well and I hope that MED loan in future to boost up my business”.
